CARGO SERVICES
Airfreight is selected as a mode of transport for several reasons: short transit time, reduced inventory levels, fragile cargo, reduced packaging requirements, financing of high valued cargo.
PASIWA, together with its overseas network of agents on all continents, provides a competitive and efficient door to door service to meet the needs of each importer/exporter. Services include customs clearance, monitoring, status reports and door delivery.
Deliveries are expedited by our own vehicles as well as third party contractors, immediately upon release from the relevant authorities. Due to the high cost of airfreight, PASIWA personnel undertake the need to expedite customs clearance and delivery. We have a team of highly experienced staff with the expertise to assist with all customs formalities.
Seafreight is of course the most economical means of moving your cargo worldwide. Seafreight is used for consignments over a certain mass or volume, the break even point varies depending on the route used, we at PASIWA do costings on the intended move to assist the client in determining the mode of transport taking into account the urgency of the shipment.
Being freight brokers we have the negotiating ability to obtain the most favourable rates, whether it be FCL, LCL Groupage cargo.
CUSTOMS CLEARING
PASIWA was established in 1985. Over the years we have established a good working relationship with Customs and have monthly meetings with them in order to make sure that our clients receive the service that they deserve as tax payers.
We are registered customs accredited agents. Our staff have the necessary qualifications and experience to assist in sorting out any customs related problems that may arise.
We enjoy the knowledge that even Customs refer importers and exporters to us to assist in their import and export needs and also know that our knowledge on imports and export tariff heading help eliminates any possibilities of customs penalties due to incorrect tariff classification. We use the latest information and technology to ensure that our clients receive the best service available in the industry thereby reducing the clearing time to bring cargo to our clients within the shortest time possible.
HOUSEHOLD REMOVALS
We offer the client a value added alternative to the normal household removal system in that we use our expertise in moving freight to save our clients on this normally traumatic experience. In conjunction with a professional packing company we are able to reduce costs to the client in that the packing company quotes the exporter for the packing of their household effects as well as the loading of the effects into the container, directly thereby reducing add on pricing.
We at PASIWA arrange all the logistics such as placing the container at the premises on the agreed upon date, the collection after loading and then the movement of the container from the client’s door at origin to the point of delivery at destination. We perform all the necessary customs formalities to relieve the exporter of any stress in their move.
At the destination we then use our network of agents to do the necessary customs clearance and delivery of the container to the clients premises. We can handle all cargo no matter what the size, be it a small box by air, through to many cubic metres/container loads by sea.
AFRICA SERVICES
By making use of our warehouse facilities, PASIWA is able to offer the foreign exporter the opportunity of using South Africa as a stepping stone into Africa. We handle large amounts of freight moving through South Africa into Africa.
Our experienced team expedite your document through customs and arrange for any repacking or redistribution of export cargo to any destination in Africa. In conjunction with reliable trucking companies with large fleets, your cargo is moved speedily through South Africa on to the final destination.
Constant monitoring of your containers eliminates unnecessary delays and demurrage. Our ability to do business in French assists shippers who have suppliers / clients in French speaking countries in Africa.
Insurance cover, through Lloyds of London is available at low premiums.
WAREHOUSING FACILITIES
PASIWA has its own warehouse and a cartage fleet based in Pretoria adjoining our offices, ensuring constant supervision of your cargo.
Warehousing facilities for up to 165 cubic meters are available.
Apart from storage and distribution of imports, our warehouse facilities are ideally suited for container packing and the storage of export cargo.
We have a specialised team for packing of household or commercial cargo to suite the needs of the exporter.
